BODEGA Project (H2020 Security — 2015/2018)

CEIS is a partner of the BODEGA project, co-funded by the European Commission as part of the H2020 programme. BODEGA aims to study and model human factors in border control. BODEGA will provide solutions intended to improve the key tasks performed by border guards as well as decision-making in the management of border control. These solutions will benefit all BODEGA end users, from the authorities in charge of  managing borders to the travellers crossing them.

BODEGA is coordinated by VTT (the main Finnish research centre) and brings together a consortium of 15 organisations from 7 EU Member States: CEA, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thales, the International Union of Railways (UIC), CEIS, the University of Namur, Atos, Z&P, Ubium, Happywise and end users — border guards in Greece, Finland (RAJA) and Italy (ADM).

CEIS’s main role in the BODEGA project is to establish and maintain a relationship with the community of end users, i.e. the national, European and international authorities involved in the management of EU borders, and to contribute to the analysis of human factors in the management of borders.

Facilitation of FoCuS, a physical showroom and organisation to accelerate French cybersecurity SMEs & and start-ups

Within the “Cybersecurity” framework for action of the New Industrial France programme coordinated by the ANSSI, CEIS is establishing a system to accelerate the business of the French digital security industry: FoCuS.

The system centres on a physical place, located in Paris, which will continuously present solutions from partners through an educational process based on the cybersecurity value chain, as well as dynamic discussion sessions and demonstrations. This facility will be available to members to satisfy their own needs in terms of work, representation and meetings in Paris. FoCuS will also feature a space for consulting and support. Members will have access to a panel of independent experts with experience in the fields of French business and export, marketing/communication and fundraising.

Facilitation of the SIA Lab for the Sopra Steria group, integration architect of the Armed Forces Information System (SIA) programme, and of its end client the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA)

The SIA Lab is a centre for reflection on innovation and a space for demonstration in the field of information and communication systems (ICS) and digital transformation.

Located in Paris, beside the new Ministry at Balard, the SIA Lab aims to detect, test and demonstrate technological components off the shelf or likely to be provided to the French Ministry of Defence by innovative SMEs/SMIs and manufacturers. A co-innovation initiative between high-tech French SMEs, the French Armed Forces and the DGA, the SIA Lab is implemented and facilitated for the French Ministry of Defence by CEIS and the Sopra Steria group.
